1. Overview
These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of the JMH Exteriors website and the roofing, siding, gutter, deck, and related exterior contracting services we provide. By requesting an estimate, scheduling work, or using our website, you agree to these Terms.
JMH Exteriors is a family-owned contracting business located at 6995 Paint Twp 654, Millersburg, OH 44654. We are licensed and insured to operate in Holmes County and surrounding counties across Northeast Ohio.
2. Estimates & Proposals
All estimates provided by JMH Exteriors are complimentary and non-binding until a signed contract is in place. Estimates are based on visual inspection and measurements taken at the time of the visit. If hidden damage or conditions not visible during the initial inspection are discovered during the course of work, additional charges may apply with your prior approval.
Proposals are valid for 30 days from the date issued unless otherwise stated in writing. Prices are subject to change after the expiration date due to fluctuating material costs.
3. Contracts & Payment Terms
A signed contract is required before work begins. Our standard payment terms are:
- A deposit may be required for material ordering on large projects.
- Progress payments may be scheduled for multi-day projects.
- Final payment is due upon substantial completion and your satisfaction with the work.
- We accept cash, check, and major credit cards. Credit card payments may incur a processing fee.
Failure to make timely payments may result in a lien being filed against the property in accordance with Ohio mechanics lien laws.
4. Warranties
JMH Exteriors stands behind our workmanship. We provide a workmanship warranty on all roofing and exterior systems. Specific warranty terms vary by service type and are detailed in your project contract.
Material warranties are provided by the manufacturer (e.g., CertainTeed) and are subject to their terms and conditions. JMH Exteriors will assist with manufacturer warranty claims but is not responsible for manufacturer defects.
Warranties do not cover damage caused by severe weather events, acts of God, improper maintenance, or unauthorized modifications by third parties.
5. Scheduling & Delays
We make every effort to begin work on the scheduled date. However, weather conditions, material availability, and unforeseen project complexities may cause delays. We will communicate any schedule changes promptly.
JMH Exteriors is not liable for delays caused by circumstances beyond our reasonable control, including but not limited to severe weather, supply chain disruptions, or permitting delays.
6. Property Access & Safety
By signing a contract, you grant JMH Exteriors and our crew access to your property during normal working hours for the duration of the project. Please ensure pets are secured and valuable items near the work area are moved or protected.
Safety is our top priority. Please keep children and pets away from the work area at all times. We carry comprehensive liability insurance, but property owners are responsible for securing their own family members and pets.
7. Cancellations
Customers may cancel a project before work begins without penalty, provided materials have not been specially ordered. If materials have been ordered, the customer may be responsible for material costs.
Once work has commenced, cancellation terms are governed by the signed contract.
8. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by Ohio law, JMH Exteriors’ total liability for any claim arising from our services shall not exceed the amount paid by the customer for the specific project in question. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages.
9. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Ohio. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of Holmes County, Ohio.
10. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated date. Your continued use of our services after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
